Internal security syllabus of GS paper-III has often been the most neglected part of Civil Services preparation. Every year 50 marks questions come directly from internal security topics. However, most students take it for granted which finally leads to a reduction of at least 20 marks in their final total, which can be vital in present competitive environment. A systematic approach and organized methodology is required to get this jump of 20 marks, which also happens to be the endeavor of this module. Some key highlights are:

      • Classes will be taken by Kapil Sikka
      • The module has been divided into 7 classes (2-2.5 hr/class).
      • Syllabus wise coverage of topics.
      • Also helpful in Essay Writing, Governance and Society related issues.
      • Topics to be covered (Syllabus of Internal Security in GS Paper-III):
      • Linkages between development and spread of extremism.
      • Role of external state and non-state actors in creating challenges to internal security.
      • Challenges to internal security through communication networks, role of media and social networking sites in internal security challenges, basics of cyber security; money-laundering and its prevention
      • Security challenges and their management in border areas; linkages of organized crime with terrorism
      • Various Security forces and agencies and their mandate.
      • Regular assignments for practice
      • One 100 marks test will be taken at the end of module.
      • Classes will be supplemented by printed material.
      • Duration: 12 days
      • First class will be on 17 July@ 5 pm
      • Module Fee: 2,800/- (including taxes)
